Free OHS Essentials consultation
The OHS Essentials Program is a free, confidential safety consulting service funded by WorkSafe Victoria to help small and medium businesses. The program aims to help employers build in-house OHS expertise, proactively manage risks and ensure a safer workplace.
What’s included:
- An initial visit by an independent OH&S consultant at your workplace.
- A tailored safety action plan with clear and practical recommendations.
- Two follow-up visits within 12 months to check progress and provide further guidance.
- Advice on meeting your legal obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 (Vic).
Who's eligible?
Small or medium businesses
Small and medium businesses (up to 60 workers) with a WorkCover insurance policy.
Sole Traders with Contractors
Sole traders with contractors may be also eligible to apply but must hold a WorkCover insurance policy.
Farmers
Farmers do not need a WorkCover insurance policy to be eligible for the OHS Essentials program.

How to apply
The Bridgeway Group in collaboration with Mactown Consulting has partnered with WorkSafe Victoria to deliver The OHS Essentials Program.
You can apply by:
1. Contacting us directly
Email or call us on 0429 058 286 to discuss your workplace. We can then apply to WorkSafe on your behalf.
2. Downloading the OHS essentials form.
The form is pre-populated to nominate us as your preferred OHS Essentials Provider.
Email the completed form to: [email protected] for your application to be processed by WorkSafe.
3. Apply online through WorkSafe’s website
You will need your WorkSafe login details as well as your workplace and insurance details.
You can nominate Mactown Consulting as your preferred provider to ensure this is allocated to us directly.
